Throughout this site, we hope you see our resounding commitment to be a ministry of the Church, for the Church, throughout western North Carolina and beyond.
The Foundation has actively managed investments since 1985. Since that time, we have grown to become one of the largest United Methodist Foundations with current assets surpassing $300 million.
One of our primary goals is to help you be the best steward of the monies entrusted to you. We offer a variety of fund options to help you best meet your investment goals, while also respecting your tolerance for risk. All of our funds are invested in socially responsible ways that offer competitive returns at competitively low administrative fees.
However, while fund management is a huge part of our ministry, the Foundation is much more:
We believe it is an honor and a privilege to be in ministry with you. We view the work of the Foundation to be a calling. Therefore, we view every encounter with a church, related institution or individual to be an opportunity to strengthen God’s kingdom.
Please know that the board members and staff of the Foundation continue to be in prayer with and for you. Our mission and vision statement underscore our daily commitment:
The United Methodist Foundation of Western North Carolina, Inc. is a ministry of the Church for the Church, whose mission is to build the Church for generations to come. We fulfill this mission by investing in people, churches and related institutions and innovation. We envision a Church where people live out their discipleship through the faithful stewardship of their God-given resources.
Grace and Peace,
David A. Snipes, Chief Executive Officer
