Foundation welcomes ‘one of our biggest cheerleaders’

On behalf of the Catawba Valley District and the Foundation, we are excited to announce that Caroline Wood will join the Foundation staff in the role of Executive and Program Support Specialist.

Caroline brings a unique blend of experience and familiarity. During her 16 years on Conference staff, she served in various leadership positions, including Director of Connectional Ministries and, most recently, District Vitality Associate.

David Christy, Superintendent of the Catawba Valley District, said: “We have been so blessed by Caroline’s ministry among us. She will be a great asset to the Foundation, and we wish her well in this new chapter.”

For many years, Caroline has been a friend and supporter of the Foundation, having served on the Board of Directors in an ex-officio capacity while on Conference staff.

“It is an unusual blessing when you are able to add a team member who is so knowledgeable and, most importantly, committed to the organization’s mission and vision,” said David Snipes, President of the Foundation. “Caroline has always been one of our biggest cheerleaders and is very well versed in who we are and what we do. We are so excited to welcome her to the team. Our partners will benefit from her continued ministry among us!”

In her new role, which begins March 18, Caroline will work closely with the President and Director of Reynolds Ministries and Programs to carry out the Foundation’s strategic vision and live more fully into our mission to build the Church for generations to come.

“I’ve seen firsthand how the Foundation invests in and transforms lives,” Caroline said. “I know what it means to congregations, pastors, and their communities. I feel blessed to have an opportunity to be part of such vital ministry.”
