“He was a great connector – he recognized people’s gifts and encouraged them to serve,” Wanda told the gathering at Providence United Methodist Church in Charlotte.

A Foundation staff retreat at Starrette Farm in Statesville was an opportunity to step away from day-to-day routines and grow more connected with ourselves and one another.

We reflected on challenges of the past year. We talked about lessons learned in the pandemic. We shared what’s ahead in our personal and professional lives. And when it was time for lunch, we enjoyed a delicious lasagna prepared by Andrea and David Gutierrez (Andrea is our Staff Accountant).

The Reynolds Academy for Ministry Management brought together senior pastors in the Western NC Conference to talk about ministry in the COVID-19 era.

Amid the pandemic and a divisive social and political climate, clergy are navigating new challenges in an already demanding vocation. Reynolds Ministries is working to lift up those who preach God’s message of hope.

What a blessing to be part of a grand opening at Light of Christ UMC’s new worship center in Ballantyne.

The Foundation provided financing through the UMF Development Fund with a low-interest loan that represents less than 10 percent of the total project cost. Church members raised most of the money themselves, and then scaled the project to meet their resources. Light of Christ’s original worship center will be used as a multi-purpose space.
